Sana’a: Discussing the Activities of Public Works and Environmental Health Offices in the Directorates

A meeting in Sana’a Governorate today, chaired by the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, discussed the activities of the Public Works Offices in the directorates and the Environmental Health Department at the Public Works Office, as well as the difficulties facing the workflow.
The meeting, which included the Deputy Minister of Municipalities and Environment, Mohammed Al-Habari; the Director of the Public Works Sector in the Governorate, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah; and his deputies, Engineer Hassan Dhamaran, Abdulsalam Al-Ghazali, Yahya Sharaf Al-Din, and Amin Al-Jilani, reviewed proposals to address the challenges facing work in the field.
The attendees reviewed the measures taken to address the outcomes of the previous meeting and the extent of its implementation, as well as the first quarter report for the year 1447 AH, the reports submitted on the sites affected by floods, and the measures taken by Legal Affairs regarding the reports of the Control and Inspection Department.
The encroachments on the plans and the presence of illegal construction and divisions within the international road at the entrance to Al-Jahshi Sanhan were also discussed.
At the meeting, the governor’s deputies, Al-Muntasir and Al-Habari, emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to address the irregularities that have accompanied the work of the works in recent periods.
They noted the local authority leadership’s keenness to develop work mechanisms in the technical sector in general.
For his part, the governorate’s public works sector official, Ashiya, emphasized the need for directors of offices in the directorates to fulfill their oversight and supervisory role to ensure performance development and improve work quality.
He emphasized the need to submit periodic reports on the progress of work on a timely basis.
The meeting was attended by the directors of Environmental Health, Majid Awad, and Public Works in the directorates, as well as the environmental health officials in the directorates.
