Sana’a: Inauguration of Asphalt Paving on Shamlan Ring Road in Hamdan District

Sana’a Governors’ Deputies Atef Al-Masli and Mohammed Ayedh today inaugurated the first phase of the Asphalt Paving Project on Al-Thalathin Street (Shamlan Ring Road) in Hamdan District, at an estimated cost of 117 million and 93 thousand riyals.
Ayedh and Al-Masli listened to an explanation from the governorate’s Public Works Sector official, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah, about the components of the project, which is being implemented by the Executive Unit for the Construction, Maintenance, and Development of Roads and Public Places in the Governorate, with funding and supervision from the Governorate’s Public Works Sector.
Engineer Ashiyah explained that the first phase of the project includes paving and asphalt works on the road, 900 meters long and nine meters wide, with an asphalt area of 8,100 square meters, at a cost of 117 million and 93 thousand riyals.
He explained that the project, which complements the 1446 AH project plan, is being implemented according to a scientific vision and systematic planning that took into account addressing previous errors. He noted that the second phase will be implemented as part of the 1447 AH plan, with a length of 1,500 meters and a width of nine meters, and an asphalt area of 13,500 square meters, at a cost of 160 million riyals.
During the inauguration, Al-Musali and Ayed emphasized the importance of the project and its role in alleviating congestion in the Shamlan roundabout, improving infrastructure, and facilitating traffic flow.
They urged the project’s rapid completion according to technical specifications and the specified timeframe.
The inauguration was attended by the Director of Public Works for the Hamdan District, Engineer Abed Shaya; the Head of the Supervision Department for the Governorate’s Public Works, Engineer Abdullah Ghasham; the project supervisors, Engineer Abdullah Hazam and Engineer Mohammed Al-Sharabi; and the project implementers, Engineer Taha Al-Dhaifani and Engineer Mohammed Sabr.
