Secretary General of Ibb Local Council Inspects Progress on 30th Street Road Project in Al-Sahoul

The Secretary General of the Ibb Governorate Local Council, Amin Al-Warafi, inspected the progress of work today on the 30th Street Road project in the Al-Sahoul roundabout in the governorate’s capital. The first phase of the project, costing 298 million riyals and funded locally, is underway.
Al-Warafi, accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Mohammed Al-Muraisi, and the Head of the Public Works Sector, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, received a briefing from the implementing agency on the excavation, concrete pouring, and retaining wall construction work. This strategic project, which will alleviate traffic congestion within Ibb city, spans 1,500 meters and is currently 35% complete.
The Secretary General explained that the project is considered vital and strategic, as the local authority relies on it to reduce traffic congestion in the city center, improve traffic flow, and connect several residential and commercial areas. This will contribute to urban development and facilitate the movement of citizens. He emphasized that the local authority prioritizes infrastructure and road projects within its annual plan, despite limited resources.
He urged the project’s implementation according to the approved technical and engineering specifications and within the specified timeframe.
For his part, the governorate’s public works official explained that the project represents a qualitative leap in the road network of Ibb city, as it contributes to accommodating the increasing traffic volume and serves a number of residential and commercial areas.
He stressed the commitment to working in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of the work and address any issues, thereby achieving the highest levels of completion and enhancing the efficiency of the governorate’s infrastructure.
They were accompanied by the Director General of Internal Audit at the governorate’s general office, Mohammed Al-Madwahi, and the Deputy Director General of the Public Works Office for Projects, Engineer Yahya Al-Sadah.
