Signing of Implementation Minutes for Several Road Projects in Al-Bayda Governorate

Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al-Haifi, signed today the implementation minutes for strategic road projects costing 1.6 billion riyals, funded by the Roads Fund and the local authority.
The projects include the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads in the governorate, including the expansion and paving of Jubn Street, and the repair of potholes and asphalt on the main street in Rada’a City, at a cost of 1 billion riyals, of which 800 million riyals are funded by the Roads Maintenance Fund and 200 million riyals are contributed by the local authority.
The projects also include completing the paving of the western ring road in Al-Bayda city at a cost of 300 million riyals, of which 200 million riyals are funded by the Roads Fund and 100 million riyals are supported by the local authority. Additionally, the Al-Muriyah road project, linking Afar, Qaniyah, Al-Sawadiyah, and Radman, is being constructed and paved at a cost of 150 million riyals, with 20 million riyals contributed by the local authority and 130 million riyals supported by the Roads Fund.
The project to repair and maintain secondary streets in Al-Bayda city is also underway at a cost of 100 million riyals, funded by the Roads Maintenance Fund. Furthermore, the Roads Maintenance Fund is contributing 50 million riyals to the third phase of completing the eastern ring road in Al-Bayda city.
Governor Idris emphasized that road projects represent a vital artery serving economic, social, and humanitarian needs, in addition to their importance in promoting various aspects of development. He reported that a number of roads in Al-Bayda are deteriorating due to long-term use and natural elements, necessitating urgent intervention for their rehabilitation. He expressed his appreciation for the Road Maintenance Fund’s support and its contribution to financing several strategic road projects that connect districts and link the governorate with neighboring governorates.
Engineer Al-Haifi affirmed the Road Maintenance Fund’s commitment to cooperating with the governorate leadership and working according to the agreed-upon matrix of needs and priorities to ensure the implementation of projects that have a direct impact on citizens’ lives.
