Taiz: Campaign to Remove Dust and Debris from 60th Street in Al-Ta’iziyah District

The Public Works Sector, the Roads Maintenance Executive Unit, and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Taiz Governorate are conducting a campaign to remove dust and debris from 60th Street in Al-Ta’iziyah District.

The joint campaign began at the Al-Dhikra intersection, where dust and debris were removed along 60th Street, covering an area of ​​27 square kilometers. Obstructions were also cleared, and the median strips were improved.

Engineer Bakil Hamid, head of the Public Works Sector in the governorate, explained that 25,000 cubic meters of accumulated dust were removed from the targeted areas along 60th Street. This is part of efforts to improve the streets and neighborhoods of Taiz and give them a more civilized appearance.

Hussam Al-Fateh, Director General of the Executive Unit, confirmed that work is continuing on 60th Street and will begin in various streets and neighborhoods throughout the governorate to raise the level of cleanliness and maintain it, in accordance with the directives of the local authority leadership. For his part, the Director General of the Governorate’s Sanitation and Improvement Fund, Talal Al-Soufi, called on citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and refraining from littering in the median strips.

He also emphasized the importance of community initiatives and participation in maintaining cleanliness at the neighborhood level.
