Taiz: Discussions on Implementing the Taiz International Airport Plan

The Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, met today with the Acting Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Arif Musleh, to discuss ways to implement the Taiz International Airport plan in coordination with relevant authorities.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Airports at the Authority, Yahya Al-Kahlani, and the Director of Taiz Airport, Nabil Ahmed, Al-Masawi emphasized the importance of proceeding with the procedures to operate Taiz Airport and restore it to service, given its crucial role in serving a large population in Taiz Governorate and neighboring governorates.
He noted the leadership’s commitment to operating Taiz Airport, which suffered extensive damage as a result of the aggression against Yemen, and commended all efforts made to preserve the airport, its facilities, and its grounds.
For his part, the Acting Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority reviewed the efforts undertaken to preserve the land and grounds of Taiz Airport, considering it a vital service facility for Taiz Governorate and neighboring governorates.
The Deputy Director of Taiz Airport, Ali Saif, also attended the meeting.
