The Government of Change and Construction mourned a group of martyrs who were truly honest in the Israeli attack on the September 26 and Al-Yemen newspapers in the capital, Sana’a, last Wednesday.

The Government of Change and Construction clarified in a statement that the Zionist enemy’s crime against the headquarters of the September 26 and Al-Yemen newspapers resulted in the martyrdom of 26 national media figures and elite opinion and speech leaders.

The statement said: “The government and all media bodies, as they bid farewell to the heroes of Yemeni media to our Islamic nation, our great Yemeni people, and the media community, offer their deepest condolences to the families, relatives, colleagues, and loved ones of the martyrs, and to our people and nation.

We ask God Almighty to inspire them with patience and reward them, and to bestow His vast mercy upon the martyrs and grant them eternal peace in Paradise.”

The statement emphasized that targeting journalists while performing their noble mission of conveying the truth constitutes a war crime and a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and a desperate attempt to conceal the truth and obscure the crimes of the Zionist enemy from global public opinion.

It noted that this is a persistent Zionist goal through the systematic targeting of media institutions and figures, whether in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, or Yemen.

It added, “The Government of Change and Construction affirms that these crimes, despite their heinousness and atrocity, will in no way weaken the Yemeni media’s position in exposing the crimes of the American-Israeli aggression against the peoples of our Islamic nation.”

He stressed that these crimes will serve as an additional incentive to redouble efforts and intensify activity across all Yemeni media platforms to confront the evil Zionist project, expose its crimes, and enhance media solidarity with the just and righteous cause of the Palestinian people.

The government also emphasized the importance of mobilizing efforts and strengthening media work to confront the Zionist narrative and combat it by all means, holding the international community and the United Nations responsible for remaining silent on these crimes and failing to put an end to them and bring their perpetrators to justice.

It called on free peoples, human rights organizations, and media organizations to take urgent action to condemn these crimes against journalists.

The government and all media organizations expressed their absolute solidarity with the families of the 26 September and Al-Yaman newspapers, affirming their commitment to continuing on the path of the martyrs until the promised victory, God willing.
