The Governors of Al Bayda and Abyan Open the Aqabat Tharah-Mukayras Lawdar Road
The Governors of Abyan, Saleh Al-Junaidi and Abdullah Idris, along with the Director of Mukayras District, Yasser Jahlan, today opened the Aqabat Tharah-Mukayras Lawdar Road to travelers.
At the opening ceremony, the Governor of Al Bayda emphasized that the opening of the Aqabat Tharah Road and all other roads reflects the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council to alleviate the suffering of the people of Al Bayda and Abyan Governorates.
He pointed out that war remnants have been removed in support of the initiative to open the Al Bayda-Abyan Road and the efforts of the White Flag Team.
For his part, the Governor of Abyan praised the interest of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council in opening the roads, as part of humanitarian initiatives to alleviate the suffering of citizens under the circumstances imposed by the aggression and blockade.
He expressed hope that the other party would respond to this step, which serves the citizens who bear all the burdens resulting from the road closures. The Director of the Mukayras District, Jahlan, praised the role of the military and local leaders and the tribal sheikhs of the Mukayras and Lawdar districts in accomplishing this humanitarian and service mission to facilitate citizens’ movement and alleviate the suffering of large population centers.
