The launch of the electronic collection of land transport fees in Hodeida

The project of electronic collection of land transport fees through the offices and centers of the General Postal Authority was launched in Hodeida Governorate.
At the inauguration, the Governorate’s Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Mohammed, pointed out the importance of working with this electronic system, which will control the collection and supply process.
He pointed out that the inauguration aims to expand the electronic collection department within the framework of implementing the government’s directions to automate all work in accordance with modern automated systems.. He praised the efforts made by the Land Transport and Postal Regulatory Authority to launch this project, which will have a positive impact on developing the work of land transport affairs.
For his part, the chairman of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, Walid Al-Wadai, explained that the project comes in implementation of the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to automate the administrative and financial work in the state sectors in general, and the revenue sector in particular, including the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs, to facilitate the procedures for collecting resources. and control over it.
He pointed out that the inauguration comes within the framework of the executive program of the National Vision and in implementation of the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance, who approved this mechanism to facilitate the procedures for collecting and controlling resources.
Al-Wadai pointed out that these measures will have a tangible impact on drivers of heavy trucks, by addressing administrative problems and imbalances resulting from the use of vouchers and manual supply portfolios.. Noting that working with this system will improve collection methods, reduce burdens on drivers and reduce waste of resources State and facilitate communication between transport personnel and truck drivers.
The electronic collection project was considered one of the methods of development, within the financial inclusion projects and one of the Authority’s projects presented within its plans.
Meanwhile, the head of the General Postal Authority, Ammar Whan, indicated that the project will contribute to strengthening the mechanisms for collecting resources and working transparently with truck drivers and transport employees.. He explained that the project will allow automatic data exchange between mail and transport, including payment via mobile phones or offices. Post office in the county.
He stressed the continuation of developing the work mechanism to ensure the provision of services to all drivers on long lines in a smooth and easy manner and with high control, guaranteeing the rights of the state in general and the rights of drivers in particular.
The inauguration was attended by the Head of the Executive Unit for the National Vision in the Public Authority for Land Transport Affairs Abdullah Al-Gharbani, the directors of the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs branch Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Al-Hodeida Post Office Muhammad Al-Wajeeh, Deputy Post Director Hussein Habib, and Director of Postal Services Issam Al-Shawafi.
