The leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation honored the family of the martyr, Captain Abdullah Taher Shara, today with a brand new car.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Zaid Ahmed Taha Al-Washli, stated that, under the direct guidance and patronage of the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, represented by Major General Mohammed Ayash Qahim and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works for the Transport Sector, Mr. Alawi Yahya Al-Houthi, the family of the martyr, Captain Abdullah Taher Shara, Deputy Director General of Al-Salif Port, was honored today.

This honor was bestowed upon his family as compensation for his personal vehicle, in which he was martyred while performing his duty. Al-Washli emphasized that Captain Shara was a national figure, a prominent professional, and a spearhead in confronting the aggression and breaking the unjust economic blockade imposed by the forces of arrogance on the Corporation’s ports and the Yemeni people.

During the ceremony, Al-Washli praised the efforts of the martyr and his colleagues in breaking the unjust blockade that the Israeli and American enemy attempted to impose on our country. He highlighted their exceptional efforts in ensuring the continued unloading of goods and finding professional and practical solutions for the entry of ships, despite the direct and repeated targeting of Yemen’s Red Sea ports.

He emphasized that the martyr was a pillar of maritime and economic activity, a crucial figure in the equation of national resilience, and that he was martyred while racing against the wind to ensure the entry of ships into the corporation’s ports before the weather changed. He added that what the corporation is offering today is the least it can do for the martyr’s family.

He considered the passing of the martyr, Shara, a great loss to the Red Sea Ports Corporation, the maritime sector, and the national economy, given his effective contributions to raising performance efficiency and enhancing the safety of maritime operations, which positively impacted the continuity of work at the corporation’s ports.

For his part, the martyr’s son thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and the Red Sea Ports Corporation for this kind gesture in recognizing the sacrifices of the martyrs of duty and the nation.

The ceremony was attended by the Directors General of the Chairman’s Office, Mr. Ali Mohammed Al-Ansi, and of Docks and Yards, Mr. Jaber Ayesh Kulaib, as well as the Follow-up Officer in the Chairman’s Office, Mr. Omar Ahmed Al-Jarmouzi, and the family of the martyr, Captain Abdullah Shara.
