The National Program for Combating Begging, in coordination with the Capital Municipality Transportation Office, is implementing a poster campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of begging.

A team from the National Program for Combating Begging, in coordination with the General Authority for Land Transport Regulation in the Capital Municipality, conducted a field visit today to the Hasaba Sorting Complex to post posters raising awareness of the dangers of begging on public transportation.
The posters, dedicated to combating begging, emphasized the importance of solidarity, community initiatives, and the encouragement of action.
The posters were accompanied by awareness-raising campaigns for public transportation owners about the dangers of begging and encouraged beggars to work as an alternative to begging.
Public transportation owners expressed a strong sense of commitment to combating begging and the role of the community, alongside the official community, in addressing this phenomenon, which has become alien to Yemeni society.
The National Programme team continues its field visits to the streets of the capital to hang awareness posters to inform the community of the dangers of begging and ways to address it.
