Training Course for Public Works Office, Executive Unit, and Community Initiatives Engineers Begins in Sana’a

The administrative training course for engineers from the Public Works Office, Executive Unit, and Community Initiatives in the governorate, titled “Surveying Program, Preparing Studies and Designs for Infrastructure Projects, and Supervising Their Implementation,” began today in Sana’a Governorate.
The ten-day course, organized by the Public Works Office and the General Directorate of Research, aims to provide engineers with skills in the surveying program and how to prepare studies and designs for road infrastructure projects.
At the opening of the course, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim emphasized the importance of developing the skills of engineers in the public works sector, which will positively impact their field performance and reduce technical and administrative shortcomings.
He expressed hope that participants would benefit from the course content and come up with recommendations that benefit the technical sector and development in the governorate, contributing to enhancing the performance of engineers in carrying out their duties with knowledge and competence. Sana’a Governor Al-Hadi emphasized the importance of training public works engineers, the executive unit, and community initiatives, to enable them to perform their duties properly.
He urged positive results that serve the public interest, commending the capabilities and responsiveness of the engineering team, trainers, and course organizers.
At the opening of the course, attended by the First Deputy Governor, Hamid Asim; the Undersecretaries of the Ministry, Engineer Khaled Bashmakh; the Governor, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir; and the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Jahaf, the head of the Public Works Sector in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah, indicated that the course falls within the framework of the ongoing efforts of the leadership of Sana’a Governorate and the Public Works Department to develop the capabilities and improve the performance of the technical engineering staff working in the governorate.
This is to mitigate the problems and errors that previously arose in the implementation of the Sana’a Governorate Projects Plan for the years (1444-1445-1446).
He urged the trainees to engage seriously and responsibly to benefit from the course program and achieve results that avoid problems and errors in this regard. Engineer Ashiya commended the role of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works’ leadership in implementing the course, by directing relevant ministry officials to provide training materials and qualified and specialized trainers.
