A training course on hydraulic systems for heavy equipment concluded today at the General Authority for Roads and Bridges.

The three-day course, organized by the Authority, aimed to provide 17 of the Authority’s engineers and technicians with expertise and skills in basic hydraulic circuits (lifting and loading, direction and speed control, hydraulic valves, control valves for adjustment, direction, and flow, operating heavy equipment, and reading hydraulic diagrams).

It also included preventive maintenance methods, periodic inspection of oils and filters, pressure and flow testing, and extending the life of the hydraulic system.

The course, which is part of the Authority’s training plan for the year 1447AH, also included practical training on diagnosing faults in heavy equipment.

At the conclusion of the course, the Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, affirmed the Corporation’s leadership’s commitment to continuing to hold such courses to qualify its technical and engineering cadres responsible for operating and driving heavy equipment, thus contributing to maintaining its readiness and extending its lifespan.

He considered equipment, machinery, and other assets to be the true capital of any institution or company, noting that the Corporation is constantly striving to expand its fleet of equipment to enable it to complete the assigned tasks and projects in various governorates of the Republic.

Al-Hadrami urged the trainees to apply what they learned during the course to practical realities, which will positively impact the preservation of the machinery and equipment they operate.

The course concluded with the attendance of the directors of the central workshop, Engineer Zaid Al-Mawri; the mechanic, Engineer Hassan Mahdi; and the training center, Engineer Mahmoud Ezz El-Din. Participants were honored at the conclusion of the course.
