Work Begins on Al-Hussein Street Paving Project in Amran City

The Executive Unit for Roads and Public Spaces Construction and Maintenance in Amran Governorate launched work today on the paving project for Al-Hussein Street in Amran City.
During the launch, the Unit’s Director, Salah Al-Qahoum, explained that the 750-meter-long project, costing 12 million riyals and funded by the local authority and supervised by the Public Works Office and the governorate’s Technical Unit, is part of the 1447 AH (2025/2026) project plan to rehabilitate and maintain damaged and dilapidated streets in the governorate’s capital.
He pointed out the project’s importance in alleviating traffic congestion in the old city of Amran and facilitating traffic flow. He emphasized the local authority and the Executive Unit’s commitment to implementing service projects that contribute to meeting citizens’ needs.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Technical Unit, Engineer Mohammed Al-Jaifi, explained that the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation projects for main and secondary streets in the governorate’s capital and districts are among the most important service projects. He stressed the need to increase the pace of work and expedite the completion of the project in accordance with the engineering specifications and the specified time period.
