Synoptic analysis course for atmospheric pressure systems concluded

the training course on the synoptic analysis of atmospheric pressure systems affecting the weather and climate of the Arabian Peninsula, organized by the Authority at the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, was concluded in the presence of the Authority’s representative, Raed Taleb Jabal.

The two-week course aimed at introducing 12 male and female meteorological officials to the impact of atmospheric pressure systems on the weather and climate of the Arabian Peninsula, in addition to analyzing and interpreting satellite images of clouds and associated weather phenomena.

The training program also included a special chapter dealing with an analytical study of the emergence, rise, and movement of tropical cyclones in the Arabian Sea, which are among the most dangerous extreme weather phenomena for our country.
