Launching a new shipping line between Iran and Oman

The head of the Iranian Commercial Development Organization has announced the launch of a new marine shipping line for refrigerated freight with the Sultanate of Oman.

“Hamid Zad Boom,” said in a statement today, Monday, that the new shipping line was officially launched after the delivery of 500 tons of fruits and vegetables from the port of Bandar Abbas (south) to the port of Tire, where it was decided to send 5 shipments per week through this route.

He indicated that the new shipping line for transporting foodstuffs is the second after the Bandar Abbas-Sultan Qaboos Port line, while a third line is being launched between Bandar Abbas and Khasab Port.

On the other hand, the head of the organization affirmed negotiating with the Qatari assistant minister of commerce and officials of the Chamber of Commerce and the Food Security Authority in Qatar with the aim of exporting goods, milk and foodstuffs to this country.

It is noteworthy that Iran has been exporting goods, fruits and vegetables directly to the Sultanate of Oman, which in the short time was providing these goods via Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates.
