A government meeting discusses the issues raised in the joint meeting of deputies and the Shura Council

 

A government meeting in Sana’a, chaired by the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, discussed issues related to the government that were raised in the joint meeting of the presidency of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council.

The meeting, which included the Ministers of Parliament and Shura Affairs, Dr. Ali Abu Haliqa, Agriculture and Irrigation Engineer Abdul-Malik Al-Thawr, Transport Amer Al-Marani, State Alia Faisal Abdullatif, Deputy Ministers of Public Works and Roads, Engineer Muhammad Al-Dhari, and Expatriate Affairs Zayed Al-Riyami, and a number of undersecretaries of the relevant ministries. Actions taken by the relevant ministries and government agencies regarding these issues, what has been accomplished in practice, and what is under treatment.

The issues raised during the joint meeting included the procedures and treatments undertaken by the Salvation Government to alleviate the suffering of expatriates as a result of the abuses they are subjected to by the Saudi regime.

The procedures and measures to confront the mercenaries of aggression’s raising the price of the customs tariff by 100 percent, in the ports under the US-Saudi occupation, in addition to the measures to confront the policy of the aggression coalition and its tools, included flooding the national market with counterfeit currency, further destroying the national economy and exacerbating the suffering of the people.

The issues touched on aspects of the government’s confrontation with the siege imposed on Yemen by the US-Saudi aggression coalition, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of dams and water barriers, and unifying official and popular efforts to develop agricultural crops of all kinds on the path of self-sufficiency, as well as health measures to enhance and develop the epidemiological surveillance process. control of infectious diseases, and limiting their spread.

The ministries participating in the meeting presented reports on the measures taken in practice, especially with regard to confronting the rise in the price of the customs dollar by taking a series of measures and facilities encouraging importation through the port of Hodeida, instead of the ports under occupation, its tools and mercenaries, which had not previously been granted to importers at the national level while working To strengthen partnership with the private sector in this regard.

It was emphasized that the Ministries of Finance and the Central Bank of Yemen are proceeding with their control measures to prevent the flow of counterfeit currency to the capital, Sana’a, and the free governorates.

It was also emphasized that the government was keen to receive the deportees by the Saudi regime, arrange their transfer to their areas, work with various available means to alleviate their suffering, in cooperation with relevant international organizations, and assign the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Legal Affairs and Expatriates Affairs to study the issue of forced deportation of expatriates from all sides. And preparing an integrated draft resolution to be submitted to the Supreme Political Council, for consideration and guidance as it deems appropriate.

The Prime Minister directed the technical committee to draft the various papers submitted by the participating ministries, especially finance, transport, agriculture, expatriate affairs, public works and roads, public health and population, and include them in the report that will be submitted to the joint consultative meeting between the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, scheduled to be held over the next few period.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Finance Ministry for the Organization Sector, Muhammad Amer, and Expatriate Affairs for the Planning and Investment Sector, Ahmed Abdo Qaed, and the Ministry of Health’s advisor, Ali Ahmed Al-Madwahi.
