A meeting between DMV and LTAA to Discuss networking system

A meeting in Sana’a, which included the Chairman of the Land Transport Affairs Walid Al-Wadai, and the Director General of Traffic Police, Brigadier Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, discussed the technical aspects related to the networking between the Traffic Department and the land Transport Authority.
The meeting, in the presence of the Director General of Traffic in Dhamar Governorate, Brigadier Ali Al-Washli, stressed the importance of networking in organizing work between the two sides, especially with regard to licensing means of transportation.
The attendees stressed that the information technology specialists in the Traffic Police and the Transport Authority should start evaluating the technical reality, and preparing a system through which land transport data is recorded after verifying the validity of the documents and the driver’s license, and examining the vehicle, which reduces effort, time and money, and ensures the accuracy of the information.
At the meeting, the head of the Land Transport Authority pointed out the importance of networking with the traffic police, pointing to the directives of the Supreme Political Council, to redouble efforts in the process of networking with ministries and government institutions.
Meanwhile, the Director General of the Traffic Police indicated the keenness of the leadership of the Ministry of Interior and its follow-up to traffic activities and works, and its interest in the issue of electronic transformation in the provision of traffic services.
He stressed the importance of automating the work between traffic and the Transport Authority, which would facilitate the completion of citizens’ transactions and reduce negatives, and achieve common goals, including not granting licenses to means of land transport, until the means are completed with the necessary documents and traffic conditions.
