A meeting of the joint technical committee to solve the problems of shipping lines companies

 

in Sana’a, the first meeting of the Joint Technical Committee was held to solve the problems of shipping companies, headed by the Vice President of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Engineer Yahya Sharaf Al-Din.

In the presence of the deputy of the Ministry of Transport for Maritime and Ports Affairs Khaled Al-Nimr, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Navigation, the Red Sea Ports Corporation and relevant authorities, the committee reviewed the work mechanism and tasks assigned to the committee to facilitate the entry of commercial containers to the port of Hodeida, through the approved shipping line companies.

The meeting discussed the difficulties facing shipping line companies carrying commercial containers, which contribute to facilitating their entry to the port of Hodeida.

The committee discussed the problems related to shipping line companies during the previous period and ways to solve them.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Technical Committee stressed the importance of the committee’s work in facilitating the entry of commercial container carriers to the port of Hodeida through developing plans and practical studies.

He also affirmed the keenness of the Hodeida port to provide all facilities and work professionally in accordance with the standards in force in international ports.. He pointed out the importance of the role of shipping companies’ lines in transporting containers to the port of Hodeida to alleviate the suffering of the citizen.

Sharaf El-Din pointed out that the Red Sea Ports Corporation provided a package of facilities to all carriers, in addition to the government’s approval of reducing customs duties by 49 percent
