an expanded meeting at the Ministry of Transport, headed by Deputy Minister Mohammed Al-Hashemi, approved the formation of a technical team to follow up the compensation of Yemeni merchants affected by the sinking of the container ship (Tss Pearl) off Jizan port.

The meeting stressed the need to address the United Nations to put pressure on the Saudi-led coalition to compensate Yemeni merchants, and to open the port of Hodeidah to all ships without restriction or condition.

The meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Maritime and Ports Affairs Khaled Al-Nimr, the Director of the Navigational Chambers Hassan Abdullah, representatives of insurance companies and merchants affected by the sinking of the ship, discussed the repercussions of the Yemeni merchants and the difficulties they face as a result of the obstacles imposed by the coalition of aggression on container ships and commercial goods.

In the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Transport pointed out that the Tss Pearl commercial container ship was exposed to a fire that lasted for several days and led to its sinking in mid-October, as a result of deliberate neglect by the Saudi-led aggression coalition.
