A meeting of the Red Sea Ports Council in the port of Hodeida headed by the Minister of Transport discusses the executive matrix of projects for the year 2022 AD

 

The Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation discussed in its meeting , Tuesday 11-1-2022 AD at the headquarters of the Corporation in the port of Hodeida, headed by the Minister of Transport Amer Ali Al-Marani the executive matrix of the Corporation’s projects for the current year 2022 AD within the framework of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.

The meeting was reviewed in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation – Chief Executive Officer, Captain Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, his deputy, Engineer Yahya Abbas Sharaf El-Din, and members of the Board of Directors, the projects targeted at the Corporation’s ports for the current year 2022 AD.

The meeting touched on the difficulties facing the implementation of projects within the framework of the matrix and ways to address them.

In the meeting, the Minister of Transport stressed the importance of establishing the principle of institutional work in parallel with the battle to confront aggression in various fields, as a project supported by the fronts and the fronts under the slogan “A hand that protects and a hand that builds”, especially in light of the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the continuation of aggression, siege and escalation and the repercussions that have left Significant impact on the performance of the institution, the national economy and areas of development.

Minister Al-Marani praised the efforts made by the Foundation’s leadership in order to raise the rate of increase in the Foundation’s activity and its tireless quest to improve the Foundation’s work and its humanitarian services.

While the Chairman of the Board of Directors – CEO of the Corporation referred to the projects that were completed in the Corporation’s ports during the past year to ensure the continuation of its work in providing basic foodstuffs to the Yemeni people through relief and humanitarian ships, despite the obstacles and abuses imposed by the countries of aggression on the ships arriving at the Corporation’s ports.

Pointing out that the Foundation is working with self-efforts to facilitate the arrival of ships carrying humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.

Captain Isaac confirmed that the Corporation’s ports are in compliance with all requirements and standards of the ISPS Code of Security for Ports and Ships, issued by the International Maritime Organization ( IMO ) of the United Nations.

The meeting approved a number of decisions and recommendations.. praising the role played by the leadership of the Corporation and its employees under the supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and the work of the sub-unit of the National Vision in the Corporation.

He stressed the importance of implementing these projects to raise the efficiency of the institution and collect resources to achieve the desired economic and development goals.

For his part, the Chairman of the National Vision Sub-Executive Unit Committee – Director General of Planning and Statistics at the Foundation, Dr. Waddah Abdullah, addressed the overall stages of the first interim plan of the National Vision 2019-2020 “resilience and recovery” and the second phase of the National Vision 2021-2025 “the phase of institutional structure, rebuilding and strengthening the elements stability”.

In turn, the directors of the studies departments of the General Administration of Engineering Projects, Eng. Hussein Gharamah, and the containers at the container terminal in Hodeidah Port, Eng. Muhammad Al-Safaani, presented the most prominent projects targeted at the Corporation’s ports for the current year, and the five-year plan projects 2021-2025.

The meeting was attended by the general managers of the office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nabil Omar Al-Makhjabi, the Financial Affairs Omar Hajjouri, the Internal Auditor Nasser Ayoub, the Secretary of the Board of Directors Abdulelah Al-Wasabi, the Office of the Minister of Transport, Ahmed Abbas, the Minister and Public Relations at the Ministry of Transport, Moeen Aboud Bahjaj.
