A meeting reviews the damages of Hodeida Airport as a result of the aggression

A meeting in Al-Hodeida Governorate,  reviewed the extent of losses and destruction suffered by Al-Hodeida International Airport, as a result of its targeting by the Saudi-American aggression.

The meeting touched on the damage to the airport infrastructure, including runways, buildings, lounges, communication devices, air navigation and meteorology, equipment and fire engines, and other airport accessories, technologies and devices.

In the meeting, the deputy of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Raed Jabal, indicated that the countries of the coalition of aggression aimed, by destroying Hodeida Airport, to completely paralyze the navigational movement, pointing out that its rehabilitation requires more than 500 million dollars.

And he indicated that files on the violations suffered by Yemeni civil airports were prepared to sue the countries of the coalition of aggression before international courts.

It called for sending an international investigation team to stand in front of those attacks against civil aviation and its facilities in Yemen.

While the director of Hodeida Airport, Ahmed Tarish, confirmed that the destruction of Yemeni airports is a testimony to the indifference of the countries of the coalition of aggression to international treaties and covenants that prohibit targeting civilian objects, indicating that targeting them is a war crime that does not have a statute of limitations.

He pointed out that the world celebrates the World Aviation Day, while the Yemeni people suffer from the inability to travel by air, and are deprived of even receiving treatment abroad.

The meeting was attended by the Director General of Air Transport at the authority, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, and the deputy director of Hodeida Airport, Nader Mujam.
