A training course on occupational security and safety at the port of Hodeida

The Hodeida Port Personnel Training Center is implementing a training course on occupational hazards and security and safety procedures.

15trainees from various departments and sections are participating in the course organized over the course of a week by the Human Resources Department at the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation.

At the opening of the course, speeches were given, all of which emphasized the importance of holding such courses to avoid the risks arising from work accidents, maintain the safety and health of the organization’s employees, and provide a safe work environment from the causes of accidents and occupational injuries.

She explained that the trainees will learn about the principles of occupational health and safety and related legislation, occupational risks and the importance of using personal and general protective equipment, as well as identifying types of occupational accidents, work environment pollutants and occupational diseases.

She stressed the need for active participation and benefit from the course in order to enable participants to acquire information related to occupational health and safety, given the environmental conditions in which they work.
