A UNICEF cargo plane arrives at Sana’a International Airport

 

A cargo plane belonging to the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” arrived at Sana’a International Airport, carrying vaccines for children under one year.

The Director of Vaccines Department in the Immunization Program, Taha Alaqari, said that the shipment contains 50,550 vials of the BCG vaccine, 100,000 vials of the dual vaccine, in addition to 100,000 vials of the injection paralysis vaccine, and 910,500 vials of the rota vaccine.

He pointed out that the vaccines target children under one year and are used for routine vaccination in all health facilities in the Republic.

The Boeing 727 cargo plane received all air navigation services in force at various international airports in accordance with the terms and requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The flight crew praised the level of ground and air navigation services provided by Sana’a International Airport, stressing the airport’s technical and operational readiness.
