Al-Durrah & Al-Hamli inspect work progress at Sana’a International Airport

Minister of Transport, Abd al-Wahab Al-Durra, and the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA Secretary-General), Ibrahim al-Hamli, inspected the progress of work in the restoration of infrastructure at Sana’a International Airport, which was destroyed by the aggression, and the airport’s needs for development projects.

Al-Durra and Al-Hamli were briefed on the extent of damage to the main building of the airport and its service annexes, which are designed according to the specifications and requirements in force in international airports, as well as the airport’s equipment to facilitate travel procedures.

Al-Durra confirmed that Sana’a International Airport has technical and professional expertise that greatly contributed to enhancing its readiness to receive all civil commercial flights with efficiency and competence.

He pointed out that the new airport faces many problems as a result of being deliberately and directly bombed by the aggression coalition.

SCMCHA Secretary-General pointed out the need to permanently open Sana’a International Airport without any restrictions or conditions, in a way that contributes to alleviating the Yemeni people’s suffering and patients in particular.
