Al-Junaid emphasizes the importance of strategic planning to build the capacity of policy analysts and decision-makers

The Deputy Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs, Head of the Executive Office of the Vision Management, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, stressed the importance of strategic planning and public policy development to build the capabilities of policy analysts and decision-makers in public service units.

This came during his visit today to the participants in a training course on public policy development, in which the heads of the executive units of the National Vision in the Central Statistical Organization participate, organizing the National Vision Advisory Group in coordination with the Skills Development Fund and the Statistical Training Center.

The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the importance of informing the participants about how to prepare general policies for participatory planning, to keep pace with the directions of the national vision, stressing the keenness to develop the capabilities of the participants in the session in order to enable them to develop national strategic planning.

He pointed out the need to benefit from the contents of the course related to strategic planning and the methodology for implementing the national vision and transferring the acquired knowledge and skills to the cadres in the entities and institutions.

Al-Junaid praised the role of the National Vision Advisory Team in organizing such sessions to empower the participants and introduce them to the mechanism of sound strategic planning and public policy-making to build the capacity of policy analysts and decision-making in public service units.

The importance of the session comes with the participation of 30 trainees from fifteen government agencies in the context of strengthening the relationship between the strategic planning methodology and the general policy for preparing and building the second phase plan for the vision in accordance with international standards and modern methodologies.

He was accompanied by the head of the monitoring and evaluation unit and the head of the planning unit at the executive office of the National Vision Department, Ali Al-Hakimi and Hamdi Al-Sharjabi.
