CAMA’s Board of Directors discusses the projects of the second phase of the national vision

CAMA’s Board of Directors discussed in its meeting, headed by Minister of Transport  Zakaria  Al-Shami, the strategic projects included in the national vision in its second phase.

The meeting focused on priority projects for the development of air navigation in accordance with the terms and requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, most notably the project to develop and modernize Sanaa International Airport.

The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Rahman Abdul Qadir, discussed the mechanism for improving revenues and finding other sources to ensure the continuity of the Authority’s work, especially in light of the continuing aggression and blockade.

He touched on the technical and professional aspects and mechanisms of organizational restructuring of the authority according to global developments and in accordance with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization, in addition to setting up a training and rehabilitation plan, especially in the technical and professional fields.

In the meeting, the Minister of Transport emphasized the importance of developing Sana’a Airport as it is the gateway to Yemen, pointing to the Supreme Political Council’s interest in completing a project to modernize and develop Sana’a airport during the next phase.

While the President of the General Authority of Aviation and Meteorology confirmed that the authority works in accordance with the international requirements of the International Aviation Organization … indicating that the authority, despite the aggression and blockade, provides its air navigation services to civil aviation and is working on developing its sectors.
