CAMA :-A workshop in Sana’a on drafting the strategic plan

a workshop was held on drafting the strategic plan of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology 2021-2025 and its alignment with the strategic plans of relevant international organizations, as a translation of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state .

The workshop aimed to come up with the formulation of the strategy and its objectives and the preparation of the document in line with the national vision, in a way that contributes to developing and updating the work of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology in accordance with international requirements, the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO and the World Meteorological Organization.

The workshop focused on formulating the authority’s main vision, mission, values, principles and mission in line with modern developments in force globally in the field of civil aviation .

In the workshop, the head of the authority, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Qader stressed the importance of strategic planning aimed at modernizing and developing the work of the authority in accordance with the international requirements and requirements that emerged from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Meteorological Organization .

He pointed out that the workshop dealt with the strategic plan document, foremost of which is the vision, mission, values, analysis of the current situation, and the operational plan for projects and budgets included in the national vision for building the modern state .

He pointed out that the authority has close links with the relevant international organizations, most notably the International Civil Aviation Organization and the World Meteorological Organization, stressing that the strategies of these organizations are taken into consideration and absorbed within the strategic plan, linking and adapting them to be consistent and proportionate to their international conditions .

Abdul Qadir stated that the authority is working to enhance air safety in the territory of the Republic of Yemen, accuracy of air navigation services, keeping pace with ICAO standards, accuracy of meteorological services, improving infrastructure and readiness of international airports .

The workshop was attended by the two assistant undersecretaries of the meteorology sectors, Eng. Muhammad Hamid, airports Yahya Al-Kahlani, and the general managers of Sana’a International Airport Khaled Al-Shayef and Air Transport Dr. Mazen Ghanem and the Institute of Civil Aviation and Meteorology Dr. Naji Al-Sahmi
