Charmin of CAMA meets ICRC official
Charmin of CAMA , Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Qader, met with the agency’s deputy, Raed Talib, with the deputy head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation to Yemen, Alexander Ikwe.
The meeting, in the presence of Assistant deputy for the Air Navigation Sector, Abdullah Al-Mutawakel, Director of Sana’a International Airport Khaled Al-Shayef, and Director of Air Transport at the Authority, Mazen Ghanem, discussed the mechanism of cooperation and coordination for the ICRC flights and facilitating their arrival and take-off from Sana’a International Airport, as well as discussing areas of cooperation between the CAMA and the International Committee delegation The Red Cross Yemen Branch and ways to strengthen and develop it.
During the meeting, the head of the commission praised the humanitarian role that the International Committee of the Red Cross is playing in Yemen, first and foremost the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement that took place recently through Sana’a International Airport, which proved to the world the extent of its operational and technical readiness to receive all civil, commercial and humanitarian flights.
He stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination with the committee and its workers and providing all facilities, especially in the field of air navigation and civil aviation .. noting that the authority works in accordance with international requirements and standards issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
For his part, the deputy head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross expressed his appreciation for the facilities provided by the authority to the mission, stressing that the mission would continue to provide support to Yemen in a way that would contribute to alleviating the human suffering experienced by the Yemeni people.
The meeting was attended by Director of Air Navigation, Abdullah Al-Eryani, Director of Navigational Systems and Equipment Abdel-Wahab Abu Talib, and Director General of Systems and Information at the Ministry of Transport Eng. Yahya Hobeish.
