Corona pandemic causes losses to the Civil Aviation Authority of Yemen

The Corona pandemic affected the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Yemen, as a result of the decrease in flights that cross the airspace of the Republic of Yemen.

The agency’s representative, Raed Talib Jabal, told  that the authority lost during the second half of March, due to the Corona pandemic, 54 percent of the revenues it was getting from international airlines that crossed the airspace of Yemen.

He pointed out that the transit traffic for international flights of Yemeni airspace decreased by more than 60 percent until the end of last March due to the Corona virus pandemic .. He explained that this doubled the losses of the Civil Aviation Authority in addition to the unjust siege imposed by the aggression coalition.
