Council of Ministers condemns UN Secretary-General’s decision on Ansarullah

The Council of Ministers, in its regular meeting on Sunday headed by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, condemned the decision of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to designate Ansarullah within the list of violators of children’s rights.

The Council stressed that the decision is not surprising, for the United Nations decisions are formulated according to the dictates of the American administration and the oil countries that finance it.

In this regard, the Council recalled the removal of Saudi Arabia, which is internationally and legally condemned for the killing of Yemeni children, from the list of violators of children’s rights, after threatening to stop its financial support for the UN system.

The Council considered the UN resolution against Ansarullah is bought with money, affirming that the real violator of children’s rights for more than six years is the US-Saudi aggression coalition countries, which are behind the death of hundreds of thousands of Yemeni children and the suffering of millions as a result of the blockade.

The Council called on the United Nations to revise this decision, which comes in the context of the extortionary approach that the coalition has been using to use UN resolutions to serve the goals of its aggression.

In its meeting, the Council expressed its warm congratulations to the leadership, government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the success of the Iranian presidential elections that took place  Friday.
