Discuss the working mechanism of overloads on the road network

Today’s meeting in Sana’a included the head of the General Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs, Walid Al-Wadai, and the head of the Road Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al-Hafi, the work mechanism for overloading the road network.

The meeting, which was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for the Land Transport Sector in the Ministry of Transport, Abdel Malek Mahmoud and members of the joint committee between the Authority and the Fund, reviewed the work plan prepared by the specialists and procedures for controlling the loads in the sources of loading represented by the land and sea ports, factories, warehouses, quarries and crushers to maintain the network of roads that are damaged due to excessive loads in Axial weight stations remained suspended due to the aggression.

It was agreed to start implementing the unified work mechanism to reduce excess weights on the road network, and to form a committee to prepare an educational information plan to reduce the damages of excessive loads on the road network.

At the meeting, Al-Wadei and Al-Hafi stressed the necessity of coordination between the authority and the fund to maintain the road network as a development artery.
