Discussing the conditions of Sana’a airport after it was recently targeted by the aggression

 

The Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, in its meeting  in Sana’a, headed by Minister of Transport Amer Al-Marani, reviewed the development matrix of the authority and its sectors and the developments of Sana’a International Airport as a result of the systematic targeting of it by the aggression planes.

The meeting, which included the Deputy of the Ministry of Transport for the Air Transport Sector Abdullah Al-Ansi, the Chairman of CAMA   Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qader, and the Authority’s Deputy, Raed Jabal, discussed the necessary treatments to develop the technical and professional readiness of the authority in the field of civil aviation and meteorology in accordance with international conditions and requirements and the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO(.

The meeting dealt with the latest developments and events at Sana’a International Airport, the extent of the damage and losses incurred by some of its vital facilities and infrastructure as a result of direct targeting by the coalition of aggression.

The meeting stressed the need to allow entry to devices and equipment that were prevented from entering the coalition of aggression and were previously purchased under the supervision of the United Nations and are currently in Djibouti for their importance in providing the necessary requirements for the work of the airport and the resumption of flights for the United Nations and humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.

The board of directors of the authority held the countries of the aggression coalition responsible for any damage or delay in the technical devices and equipment for communication and communication with air navigation, which ensures the safety and security of civil aviation at Sana’a International Airport and all Yemeni airports.

He called on the United Nations to fulfill its obligations to transfer technical equipment and equipment to the airport and to ensure that Sana’a International Airport and its employees are not targeted by the aggression coalition.
