Discussing the readiness of Hodeida ports to receive ships and goods

Monday, the Yemeni Oil Company and the company’s union committees, in cooperation with the local Water and Sanitation Corporation, the Hygiene and Environment Sector, and the Secretariat’s Works Office, organized a protest stand in front of the United Nations Office regarding the continuation of the aggression and the siege on fuel oil ships intended for public use, and its disastrous impact on the services sector. In the presence of the Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company, Eng. Ammar Al-Adari, and a large group of company leaders and employees, hygiene, works and water in the Secretariat.. A statement was issued by the joint stand from the official spokesman of the Yemeni Oil Company, Mr. Essam Al-Mutawakil, in which he said: The US-Saudi aggression coalition is still holding 3 oil ships. A gasoline ship, a diesel ship, and a domestic gas ship, which are private ships for public consumption, and therefore they are held for months.

He added that the delay fines imposed on the general fuel ships seized by the coalition of aggression exceeded 10 million dollars, and these fines will, of course, be reflected on the Yemeni citizen with regret…to increase his living suffering.

He was surprised by the American statements by the American envoy, in which he talks about the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni citizen and the necessity of stopping the war and delivering aid. They ignore that the American warships at sea are the ones who are detaining the oil derivatives ships coming to Yemen. Despite the fact that they have obtained permits to pass through from The United Nations was inspected from Djibouti according to the Stockholm Agreement.. We were surprised by the piracy at sea for months to increase the suffering of Yemenis. A great contradiction between the statements of the Americans and their actions on the ground.

The official spokesman, Mr. Essam Al-Mutawakel, presented a comparison to the amount of gasoline released in the first six months of the current year 2021 AD. The released amount of gasoline is 4% and diesel is 7% .. of the actual need in the normal situation for public consumption.. This is a significant decrease from Last year, when the amount of released gasoline was estimated in the first six months of the past year 2020, the amount of released gasoline was 67%, and diesel was 55%.. But frankly, the American statements about peace and the necessity of stopping the war are all for media consumption, and the evidence is the significant decrease in The release of fuel ships for this year because of the American intervention and the American calls for peace.. They say what they do not do, and they are the ones leading the war and the siege against our country.

A statement was issued by the hygiene and environment sector, calling on the United Nations to immediately intervene and carry out its humanitarian duty by pressuring the countries of the coalition of aggression to allow the entry of oil hospital ships to the port of Hodeida in order to avoid an environmental and health catastrophe of unimaginable consequences.

The statement warned of the grave consequences that will be reflected on the environmental and health sector in the capital city as a result of the continued seizure of oil derivatives by the aggression.. and that this siege will exacerbate the situation and accumulate waste in all the streets and neighborhoods of the municipality due to the suspension of the mechanisms and equipment of the hygiene and environment sector in the capital secretariat.

A statement was also issued by the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, in which he said: The Corporation is going through a suffocating crisis due to the lack of diesel, which is the main artery for supplying electricity generators, water production wells, with energy. Petroleum derivatives.

The statement warned that the pumping of approximately 1,150,000 cubic meters of water from seventy wells will be stopped, and nearly five million residents of the capital’s secretariat will be deprived of water.

A statement was issued by the Secretariat’s Works Office, which said: We continue our repeated calls for the United Nations to play its role in allowing the entry of oil derivatives and ending the unjust siege imposed on our people, as it claims before the world that it is in a neutral position and that it works for the benefit of humanity and that it works against those who endanger the lives of Yemenis and we hold them responsible The resulting disasters, crises and low level of services, due to the great shortage in the supply of oil derivatives to the services sector in the Municipality, and the United Nations is responsible for this.

Finally, we call on the free people of the world from the living peoples, states and civil society organizations to stand by the Yemeni people in raising our voice to the international community to stop the arbitrary practices of the countries of the coalition of aggression from sea piracy on public fuel ships and to allow their transfer to the port of Hodeida .. to save the lives of more than 28 million Yemeni citizens.
