Inauguration of automated system in Hodeidah

In implementation of the Government of Construction and Change program, and under the supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Major General Mohammed Qahim, and under the directives of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, Mr. Zaid Ahmed Taha Al-Washli, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Mr. Nasr Abdullah Al-Nusairi, inaugurated the use of electronic financial and administrative systems at the Port of Salif on Sunday, April 13, 2025. This step is part of efforts to develop the work environment and improve performance efficiency across the port’s various departments.

The inauguration, which was attended by the Director General of Information Systems, Mohammed Al-Jufi, included the electronic financial collection system via the CAC Bank network and its connection to the Corporation’s main office. This is part of the transition from manual and paper-based work to an integrated electronic system that contributes to accelerating transaction completion and monitoring performance on a timely basis.

Al-Nusairi emphasized that this technical update is part of the Corporation and the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the efficiency of ports and provide distinguished services to ships, importers, and investors, despite the challenges resulting from the ongoing aggression and blockade.

He pointed out that the new systems represent a qualitative leap in operations management, facilitating financial and technical procedures, saving time and effort, and reducing administrative backlogs.

He called on all departments to engage responsibly with this step.
