Inauguration of the first sports Olympiad for employees of the Ministry of Transport and the Aviation Authority

The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology launched  the first mini-sports Olympiad organized by the authority under the slogan “Towards Achieving a Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body”.

The Olympiad, which will run until the end of December, with the participation of a number of employees of the Ministry of Transport and the authority and its various sectors, aims to pay attention to health through exercise and the development of physical and mental abilities in chess, billiards, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and swimming.

The President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Mohamed Abdel-Qader, stressed the importance of organizing sports activities that contribute to the development of technical and professional capabilities and preserve human health.

He pointed out that the Mini-Olympiad aims to enhance competition between players in the mentioned games and to develop areas of work in the technical and professional aspects of the authority and its various sectors.

In the inauguration in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Authority, Raed Jabal, the Chairman of the Sports Committee in the Ministry and the Authority, Naji Al-Marqab, indicated that the Olympics is attended by a number of employees of the Ministry of Transport and the Authority and its sectors.

The inauguration was attended by the General Manager of the first sports club of the authority, Lutf Al-Mazra
