Meeting in Hodeida discusses activity of Land Transport Authority Office, related services

 

A meeting in Hodeida province, chaired by Governor Mohamed Ayyash Qahim, discussed the activity of the Office of the Public Authority for Land Transport Regulatory Affairs in the province.
The meeting, in the presence of the Governorate’s Undersecretary for Services Affairs Mohamed Halissi and the Director of Governorate Security, Major General Aziz Al-Jaradi, reviewed the difficulties facing the office and aspects related to the work of sorting and granting operating licenses to companies, agencies and offices to practice land transport activities and related services, and entering data on cargo transport trucks through the electronic system for control and supervision in accordance with the regulations and decisions regulating this.

At the meeting, the Governor of Hodeida stressed the importance of unifying the pricing for the internal and external transport of goods and full coordination between the authority and the syndicate in accordance with the previous approved procedures.

He stressed the need for complete harmony between the Transport Office and the agencies to preserve the rights of drivers.

The Director of the Land Transport Authority Office, Ahmed Sharaf El-Din, reviewed a report that included the office’s activity during the year 1445 AH, in addition to the implementation of the directives of the Presidential Committee in charge of solving problems and organizing internal land transport routes, which contributes to facilitating traffic movement and contributes to the success of the transfer of goods from the governorate to the rest of the governorates.

For his part, the President of the Heavy Transport Union, Abdul Hafez Al-Jahili, praised the interest of the President of the Supreme Political Council and the leadership of the local authority in Hodeidah in organizing work and seeking to solve any problems facing ride-hailing agencies, and the need to apply laws in accordance with the controls and regulations specified for this
