Meeting in Hodeida discusses coordination mechanism between Ports Authority & private sector
A meeting held on Saturday chaired by Transport and Public Works Minister Mohammed Qahim, discussed the coordination and partnership mechanism between the Red Sea Ports Corporation and the private sector to enhance Al-Hodeida ports performance.
At the meeting, the Transport Minister emphasized the adoption by the Government of Change , Construction of serious paths and directions to support and encourage national private sector institutions to expand their partnership and the scope of their investment activities to include various economic and service fields, including in Al-Hodeida ports .
He pointed out the partnership and coordination importance between all sectors of the Transport Ministry and the private sector in cooperation with shipping companies, which has a major role in serving the national economy and developing import services through Al-Hodeida ports.
Minister Qahim stressed the need to urgently modernize the equipment and mechanisms of the Corporation’s ports and prepare an appropriate fee list for port services.
He emphasized the revolutionary leadership’s keenness, the Supreme Political Council and the government to overcome the difficulties facing the private sector to enable it to play its developmental role as required.
He expressed the ministry’s readiness to create a real partnership between the public , private sectors , the bot system and activate it in accordance with legal references , laws in force , transparent and fair competitive instructions, considering the private sector a key partner in construction , development and creating a development system targeting investment sectors, including ports and airports.
