Meteorology expects c very cold weather in the coming hours

The National Center of Meteorology expects the continuation of cold to very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.

The center said in its air bulletin a copy of it, “Parts of the mountainous provinces, deserts and interior plateaus are still affected by the cold air mass.”

He indicated that the cold weather continues to extremely cold and dry during the night and early morning in the mountainous heights of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar and Al-Bayda

He stated that the weather will be cold in general in the high-altitude areas of Al-Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah and Hadramout governorates. As well as the desert areas, with the continuation of the decline in the low temperatures during the next two days.

The center also expected the continuation of surface wind activity, sea turbulence, and high waves on the southern parts of the western coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The Center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, sick people, and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take the necessary precautions to prevent the effects of the cold.

He urged farmers to protect their agricultural crops and livestock, warning sea goers and ship captains of sea turmoil and high waves in the southern parts of the western coasts.

The center stated that the lowest temperature recorded this morning was 4 degrees in Dhamar; Amran: 4.2; Sanaa: 4.8; The Barrage: 7; Ibb: 8.2
