Meteorology expects scattered rain and hot to very hot weather

The National Center of Meteorology expected sporadic rain and hot to very hot weather during the day in coastal areas, deserts and internal plateaus during the next 24 hours.

The center said in its weather bulletin  that it expects sporadic rain, which may be accompanied by thunder at times, in parts of the governorates of Al-Mahweet, east of Hajjah and west of Sana’a and Dhamar, Rimah, Ibb, Taiz, Abyan Mountains, Socotra Archipelago, and in a limited way on the southern heights of the governorates of Shabwa and Hadramout. .

Hot to very hot weather is expected during the day in deserts, internal plateaus, coastal areas, and the Socotra archipelago, and maximum temperatures may range between 35 to 40 degrees Celsius.

The center indicated that sporadic rain fell on parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Rimah, the eastern coast of Hadramout and the Socotra archipelago during the past hours, and it was outside the scope of the meteorological stations.

The center called on citizens in areas where rain is expected not to be in the valleys and streams of torrential rains during and after the rains.

He warned vehicle drivers on mountain roads in the western highlands of the decrease in the horizontal vision range.

He also warned citizens in desert areas, internal plateaus, coastal plains and the Socotra archipelago of hot and sweltering weather and advised not to be exposed directly to the scorching sun during the day
