Meteorology warns of cold weather and sea turbulence

The National Center of Meteorology alerted citizens in the mountainous heights, especially the elderly, children and those suffering from chest diseases from the relatively cold weather during the night and early morning during the next 24 hours.

He also warned vehicle drivers in the western mountainous heights of low horizontal visibility as a result of rain, the formation of water rusk or fog, and sea-goers and fishermen on the southern coasts of the Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and west of the Gulf of Aden of sea turbulence and high waves.

The center stated in its air bulletin today that the weather in the mountainous heights will be partly cloudy and relatively cold during the night and early morning, with the possibility of water rinses or fog forming on parts of the western and southern mountain slopes of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj. And Dhali`.

While it is partly cloudy to cloudy during the day, the opportunity is ripe for sporadic rains of varying intensity accompanied by thunder sometimes on the chain of western and southwestern highlands in the afternoon and evening periods.

He pointed out that the weather in the coastal areas will be partly cloudy, and the opportunity is ripe for sporadic precipitation on parts of the western coast and the Tihama Plain during the evening and night and morning periods on parts of the eastern and southern coasts, and the winds are northeast to eastern on the southern, eastern and southern coasts at moderate speed. It is active on the southern parts of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, where its maximum speed reaches 23 knots.

Meanwhile, desert areas witness healthy to partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate winds.

The center stated that the weather in the Socotra Archipelago will be partly cloudy to cloudy with the possibility of scattered rain, and winds are northeasterly to eastern, light to moderate speed.

It is noteworthy that scattered rain fell yesterday in parts of the mountainous and coastal provinces.
