Minister of Transport: The media is one of the most important means of education and awareness

Transport Minister Zakaria Al-Shami considered the media one of the most important means of education and awareness in various fields.

At the conclusion of the first consultative meeting of media and relations officials with the Ministry of Transport, its bodies and institutions, which was organized over five days by the ministry and its affiliated institutions, the minister indicated that building capacities and qualifying them professionally and technically contributes to the development of institutional work.

He stressed the importance of the meeting in familiarizing media and relations officials with the ministry and its institutions, how to formulate and edit news and reports and prepare specialized publications through trainers from the Faculty of Information at Sana’a University.

The Minister of Transport urged the participants in the meeting to apply the knowledge they received on the reality in the various transportation fields and to focus on the crimes of aggression, and to highlight them through the media to the international public opinion, in addition to the systematic destruction suffered by the transport sectors.

He indicated that the ministry’s plan, its bodies and institutions, focuses on activating training and technical and vocational training programs, explaining that more than 38 specialized training courses have been approved in various fields of transport with the aim of improving the performance of workers in this sector.

The Minister of Transport affirmed keenness to develop human capabilities, especially in the media fields, pointing out the importance of the media’s role in uncovering the crimes committed by the Aggression and Mercenaries Coalition six years ago.

The consultative meeting came out with a number of recommendations aimed at developing the media work at the Ministry of Transport, its bodies and institutions, the most prominent of which is holding training courses next March to complete the program of the three consultative meeting sessions in the art of photography, public relations, graphics and media, the use of multimedia, media and crisis management, and refuting the methods of lying and disinformation. “.

The recommendations included the issuance of an electronic magazine for the Ministry of Transport and its bodies and institutions concerned with transport affairs in terms of technical and professional aspects related to air, maritime, and land transport, highlighting the activities, tasks, achievements and various projects.

The recommendations emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination with the Ministry of Information and various media outlets to present an introductory picture of the performance of the Ministry of Transport and its institutions and the establishment of media windows for the Maritime Affairs Authority branch and the local land transport corporation on the ministry’s website.

At the conclusion, which was attended by the Governor of Ibb Abdul Wahid Salah, deputy of the Ministry of Transport for Financial and Administrative Affairs Adel Al-Madani, Maritime and Ports Affairs Khaled Al-Nimr, general directors of the Ministry’s office and employees, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants.
