Norwegian Council Secretary: “Empty baggage carts and abandoned arrival halls

 

The Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council in a tweet upon his arrival at Sanaa International Airport on Sunday:

 

I just landed in Yemen … empty baggage carts and abandoned arrival halls welcome us … unfortunately not much has improved upon my arrival since I was here 3 years ago … Yemenis have been suspended in the capital since the closure of Sana’a International Airport in 2016.
