Officials inspect rainwater drainage channel project in Sana’a

Key government officials, including Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim, Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah al-Amir, and Secretary of the Capital Dr. Hamoud Ubad, on Monday inspected the progress of the rainwater drainage channel project in al-Wahda district in the capital Sana’a.

The project, which connects al-Sitteen Street to Algeria Street, aims to address flooding issues by constructing a 240-meter long and 4-meter wide drainage channel.

The project, funded by the Yemen Gas Company with a budget of 250 million Y.R, is being carried out under the supervision of the Capital Sana’a’s Works and Projects Sector.

During the inspection, officials were briefed by supervising engineers on the project’s progress, which adheres to specified technical and engineering standards.

The project is expected to improve rainwater management in the area, providing a significant solution to seasonal flooding challenges.
