Red Sea Ports Corporation is discussing acceleration mechanism for launching single window project

A meeting of the Red Sea Ports Corporation discussed the mechanisms to accelerate work in launching the single window project, which is being prepared in conjunction with the entry of ships, the restoration of navigational activity and the import of goods.

 

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Corporation, Captain Mohammed Ishaq, reviewed the outputs and recommendations of the government meeting and the directives of the Acting Economic Committee regarding strengthening the Corporation’s efforts and activating the system of performance and tasks to keep pace with the reception of ships and work with the necessary procedures according to the single window.

 

He explained that the Red Sea Ports Corporation is coming to a new phase of work, activity and relentless movement after opening the ports and the successive entry of ships, which requires everyone to raise the level of performance and the efficiency of completing procedures for unloading shipments and goods arriving at the corporation’s ports.

 

Ishaq touched on the responsibilities of the authorities working in the corporation’s ports within the framework of the single window project to overcome the procedures for receiving ships and unloading goods and improving the performance of the various offices and institutions concerned to facilitate the provision of public services in the ports of Hodeida.

 

And he urged to redouble efforts and work in a team spirit to implement and translate the work in launching this project through a unified database of services provided by the Red Sea Ports Corporation, according to the programs, plans and goals through which the state hopes to reach an effective model in performance and speedy completion of the assigned tasks.

 

The Chairman of the Corporation, Captain Ishaq, also stressed, in the meeting, which was attended by the directors of all departments and specialists of the Corporation, the importance of strengthening coordination between all concerned parties in the single window, in order to keep pace with the flow of ships arriving at the ports of Hodeidah, Salif and Ras Issa, and to serve the requirements of the country’s exceptional phase.
