SPC member: Yemen overcomes aggression, blockade

 

A member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sama’i, affirmed that the Yemeni people have triumphed with their legendary steadfastness against the coalition of aggression and are still intact and steadfast despite the aggression that affected all the elements of life.

 

In his speech at the first event organized by the International Campaign to End the Siege on Sana’a International Airport (ICLSSA), Al-Sama’i pointed out that the coalition of aggression committed the most heinous crimes, killing and destruction against the Yemeni people .. and said, “The aggression coalition threw cluster bombs and launched more missiles than it used in the First and Second World Wars. “.

 

And at the event attended by the presidential advisor, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Tarb, the ministers of social affairs and labor, Salem bin Dabaie, and the state for the affairs of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, Ali Abu Halika and the state, Dr. Hamid Al-Mazjaji, the governor of Abyan Hussein Zaid bin Yahya, the head of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation, Muhammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, and the director of Sanaa airport Khaled Al-Shayef, he emphasized Al-Sama’i said that the aggression coalition, led by America, the Zionists, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, was able to buy the silence of the organizations and the international community about the crimes and genocide they commit against the Yemeni people.

 

He expressed his thanks to those in charge of the international campaign at home, politicians, activists and the owners of free pens abroad, to convey the grievance of the Yemeni people and the aggression, siege and exposure to the crimes of the countries of the aggression coalition, and the endeavor to lift the siege on Sanaa International Airport.

 

A member of the Supreme Political Council called on the youth to support the stationers on the fronts, the heroes of the army and the people’s committees, to achieve the great victory that the world will witness.

 

For his part, Transport Minister Zakaria al-Shami confirmed that the continued closure of Sanaa International Airport has led to the largest humanitarian disaster in the modern era.

 

He pointed to the effects caused by the aggression as a result of the closure of Sanaa airport to more than 23 million citizens who benefit from the airport’s services, including the sick, wounded, and students, as well as the great lack of performance of the health system as a result of preventing the entry of types of medicines through the airport.

 

He pointed out that more than 80 thousand cases of illness died due to the closure of the airport and 450 thousand cases of incurable diseases awaiting an unknown fate due to the inability to travel for treatment abroad due to the airport closure, while four million expatriates were unable to visit their families.

 

The Minister of Transport praised the efforts of the President and members of the international and popular campaign to convey the grievance of the Yemeni people and work to end the siege on Sanaa airport, the main artery for most of the population of the Republic of Yemen.

 

Hamid Antar, head of the International Campaign to End the Siege of Sanaa International Airport, indicated that the aggression continued in its arrogance against the Yemeni people and destroyed all the basics of life.

 

He touched on the achievements of the campaign at the regional and international levels, as political activities, events, protests and international conferences were carried out in America, Britain, Germany, India and other European countries.

 

He pointed out that the international campaign to lift the siege on Sanaa airport, has many activities and effectiveness internally and externally to uncover more crimes committed by the aggression in Yemen.

 

The event included a presentation on the campaign and its activities, and the speech of the free people, political elites, writers and thinkers at the Arab and international levels.
