The Annual Assessment Meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Trade

 

A member of the Supreme Political Council, Jaber Al-Wahabani, and the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, participated in the opening of the annual evaluation meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, institutions and bodies affiliated to it and its offices in the Capital Secretariat and the governorates for the year 2020 AD, and the launch of the 2021 plan.

 

In the opening of the two-day meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade is one of the most active ministries in the performance of its tasks and duties towards the society, which is closely linked with its various segments and their daily strength.

 

He appreciated the efforts of the ministry’s leadership, represented by the minister, his deputy, the ministry’s undersecretaries and all its officials and heads of institutions and bodies affiliated with it towards society and service of the economy .. He said, “The leadership of the ministry and its affiliates managed to overcome the challenges and difficulties they face and restore life to many of the facilities targeted by the Saudi-Emirati aggression aviation and those that were Off “.

 

He added, “The share of the ministry and its affiliated institutions in targeting the vital installations was abundant because of its direct link to the citizens’ sustenance and their daily living needs.”

 

He pointed out that the industrial private sector was also not spared from targeting and destruction, and even grain and food carriers were not spared from the bombing … indicating that the goal of the countries of aggression was not only limited to the military side, but the economic war was also one of the main titles of the aggression forces.

 

Dr. Bin Habtoor explained that the forces of aggression deliberately destroyed factories while operating their factories to export their products to Yemen .. He said, “We assure the countries of aggression that we will continue to defend our homeland, our land, our borders, and our people. We will also continue the process of building and reconstruction, rehabilitating our factories and workshops, and alleviating the difficulties and suffering they have. It is lived by the people of Yemen. ”

 

He added, “We are ready to support our country and its economy by supporting the concerned authorities, strengthening industries in their various aspects, and providing facilities for investors and the elements of their settlement.”

 

And he added, “Today the national vision is embodied in practical reality through the achievements reflected in the reports of government agencies, including the Ministry of Industry, which presented us today with a comprehensive picture presentation of what has been achieved in this vital sector during the past period.”

 

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of maintaining a balance in prices in order to allow the national capital to continue and grow and be reasonable for the citizen in his current ordeal, appreciating the activities carried out by the Ministry of Industry in controlling prices, confronting monopoly and protecting citizens from expired food commodities and fraudulent goods.

 

The Prime Minister discussed the situation in the governorates and the occupied regions, and the bombings that the city of Aden and its airport recently witnessed in light of the absolute domination of the ambassador of the state of aggression and occupation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, over the government of agents and mercenaries.

 

He reiterated that those behind the bombings are the occupation forces and mercenaries in the context of settling scores between them, explaining that the national project resisting aggression has no interest in targeting civilians or turning them into a card for conflict.

 

At the opening, in the presence of the two deputy prime ministers for national vision affairs, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, services and development, Dr. Hussein Maqbouly, and the ministers of planning, Abdul Aziz Al-Kumim, the local administration, Ali Al-Qaisi, agriculture and irrigation, Eng. Abdul Malik Al-Thawr, transportation, Zakaria Al-Shami, and electricity, Abbar and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mashjari, Endowments and Guidance, Najeeb Al-Ajji, the State Ahmed Al-Qana and Al-Qaem At the work of Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Ali and Acting Minister of Human Rights Ali Al-Dailami, Minister of Industry and Trade Abdel-Wahab Yahya Al-Durra indicated the importance of the meeting to assess the performance of the ministry, its tasks, works and activities implemented during 2020 AD, as well as the launch of the current year 2021 plan.

 

He pointed out that during the meeting, issues and topics related to the progress of work, the most important activities and programs implemented by the sectors of the Ministry of Industry, institutions, bodies and affiliated companies will be discussed, as well as the plans of the ministry and its offices to develop market monitoring and consumer protection.

 

Minister Al-Durra explained that the meeting will also discuss mechanisms to coordinate efforts between the various sectors of the ministry and the concerned authorities in government agencies, local councils, the private sector and the Chamber of Commerce to contribute to the provision and flow of food commodities, materials and necessary needs in light of the aggression and blockade.

 

He touched on the most prominent achievements during the year 2020 AD and what the ministry and its institutions were able to implement during a whole year of giving and achievement, in addition to discussing the difficulties facing the ministry and its institutions and ways to address them in a way that contributes to developing and improving performance and services for citizens.

 

The Minister of Industry reviewed the ministry’s plans and efforts to strengthen partnership with the private sector and work to provide a supportive environment for the industrial, commercial and service sectors, create an appropriate environment for economic growth, develop the business sector, promote entrepreneurship, innovation, competition, consumer protection, mechanisms to raise the efficiency and development of small and medium industries and handicrafts, strengthen the competitiveness of national industries and encourage National products and their protection.

 

He appreciated the support of the President of the Supreme Political Council, the Head of the Salvation Government, and members of the government to the Ministry of Industry and Trade in all aspects, stressing the necessity for concerted efforts and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors in a way that would contribute to advancing the pace of development and building a strong Yemeni economy capable of facing the current challenges and difficulties and strengthening steadfastness in the face of aggression. And blockade.
