The Civil Aviation Authority discusses the mechanism of regulating the work of travel agencies

 

A  meeting at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology(CAMA), headed by the Director of Air Transport at the authority, Dr. Mazen Ghanem, discussed the mechanism for regulating the work of travel agencies in accordance with the conditions and regulations approved by the authority.

 

The meeting, in the presence of representatives of the Yemeni Airlines, the Yemeni Tourism Federation and a number of specialists, reviewed the proposals that would guarantee the rights of travelers and improve and upgrade the level of services.

 

The meeting came out with a number of    recommendations, including obligating travel agencies to apply the conditions and standards of the authority, when opening new travel agencies or renewing their licenses, in a way that contributes to achieving quality standards and making some amendments that contribute to regulating the work of travel agencies and circulating those conditions to agencies to correct their conditions within two months from its date.

 

It was agreed to form a joint working team to go to travel agencies to evaluate them and ensure their compliance with the requirements, regulations and systems approved by the General Aviation Authority, and to report the results to take the necessary measures against the violating agencies.
