The Civil Aviation Authority honors firefighters at Sana’a International Airport

Today, the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology honored 115 firefighters at Sana’a International Airport and the Republic’s airports on the occasion of the International Firefighter Day.

The Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Qader congratulated the firefighters on this occasion and for their excellence in the performance of their duty and for their professional and technical efforts to serve the air navigation.

He indicated that the celebration was canceled on this occasion in implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Combating Epidemics within the precautionary measures to confront Corona … praising the interest of the Sana’a airport leadership and its keenness to appreciate and encourage its distinguished employees.

The President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology stressed the importance of the role of firefighters in the airports of the Republic of Yemen … noting the steadfastness of firefighters and their efforts to put out fires for the aircraft targeted by the aggression in the airport berth.

For his part, the commission’s representative, Raed Talib Jabal, stated that honoring firefighters is the least duty they offer to be sacrificing themselves in order to save others.

And that the employee, worker, engineer and technician is the basis for any successful work around which all development plans and achievements made by the authority in the fields of civil aviation and its air navigation services are built around.

In turn, the Director General of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, reviewed the role of the firefighters and their efforts for safety.

Al-Shayef emphasized that the firefighting staff work around the clock with great professionalism and upheaval to confront any accident or accident, whether at the airport or on the airport grounds.

The President of the General Authority for Aviation and Civil and Meteorology, along with the agency’s representative, were briefed on the progress of work in the Fire Department and the extent of readiness to implement the tasks assigned to them.

He was accompanied by the Assistant Undersecretary for the airports sector in the authority, Yahya Al-Kahlani, and the official spokesman for the authority, Director General of Air Transport, Dr. Mazen Ghanem.
