The Executive Unit of the National Vision at the Ministry of Transport reviews projects at Sana’a Airpor

The main executive unit of the national vision in the transport sector was briefed today on the projects completed by the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology at Sana’a International Airport, according to what was included in the national vision in its first phase 2019-2020.

During the visit to Sanaa airport, the head of the executive unit at the Ministry of Transport, Engineer Nazir Al-Dabai, and members of the committee heard from specialists in the Electricity Department on the maintenance and repair stages of the airport’s electrical generators, which were carried out by technical personnel of the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

They also heard from the Head of the Executive Unit, Director of Planning and Projects at the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Dr. Faraj Baathr, about an explanation of the maintenance, restoration and repair of the main runway for landing aircraft in accordance with international requirements and conditions and the International Aviation Organization “ICAO”.

Bather indicated that the aggression’s aviation targeted the runway with several raids with the aim of paralyzing air navigation traffic at Sanaa Airport, the main artery and the first gate to Yemen.

The Executive Unit of the National Vision also reviewed the airport fence project, which was destroyed by the aggression’s air strikes.

The head of the main executive unit of the National Vision at the Ministry of Transport praised the level of completion of the General Authority of Civil Aviation’s projects at Sana’a Airport, indicating that the second phase will include projects to develop and modernize the airport in accordance with international conditions and requirements.
